Somnis: Rumble Rush Game Review

A Complete Overview and Review of this RTS Card-Based Game Available on Mobile

When you play Somnis: Rumble Rush, you're not just playing a game—you’re stepping into a wild universe that mashes up Clash Royale and tower defense, but with a card-based twist that keeps things fresh.

The second you download and log in through Overtake, the tutorial will start, and you’ll be right in the thick of it. No waiting around, no messing about. You’re in.

As you dive deeper, you’ll be gathering spell cards, buildings, and units. Why? So you can build your deck and flex your own unique strategies. Will you go full offense? Play it safe with defense? The choice is all yours.

Get ready to break down the gameplay and see what makes Somnis: Rumble Rush worth checking out

GAMEPLAY OVERVIEW

In Somnis: Rumble Rush, it’s all about strategy and some good old-fashioned card battles. You’ve got two main options here: PvE (Player vs Environment) or PvP (Player vs Player) with three game modes to dive into.

Each one’s packed with its own challenges and rewards. So, the real question is—what’s your game plan?

  1. Campaign Mode

This one’s all about PvE. You’ll be clearing stages, each tougher than the last. It’s the perfect way to sharpen your skills and level up your deck before you face real opponents.

Your mission? Beat the enemies, clear the stage, move on to the next. Easy, right? And the rewards? You’re looking at in-game currencies and other cool loot after each stage.

  1. League Match

Now we’re talking PvP—real-time battles against other players where your deck-building skills are put to the test. It’s all about strategy, timing, and outsmarting your opponents. Climb the leaderboard by racking up League Points.

Your goal? Wipe out your opponents and earn those sweet League Points.Win some matches, and you’re earning cards, Gold, and other rewards along the way.

  1. Special Modes

If you’re up for something different, this is where the fun really kicks in. Special Modes add unique rules and twists to keep things fresh.

  • 2 vs 2: Team up with a buddy and take on two opponents. Teamwork, baby.
  • 1 vs 1 Prolifiration Mode: Play a high-stakes game where bombs activate under certain conditions. It’s explosive (literally).
  • 1 vs 1 Lullaby Mode: Mana recharges super fast in certain areas, so you’ve gotta stay sharp!

Deck Enhancement

Let’s talk Deck Enhancement in Somnis: Rumble Rush because, let’s be real, if your deck’s not strong, you’re not getting far.

Here’s the deal—upgrading your deck is where the magic happens. It’s all about grabbing and leveling up those NFTs. You can get them from Mystery Boxes (who doesn’t love surprises?) or by making some trades in the Marketplace like a pro.

Once you’ve got your NFTs, take them into battle and start earning materials. These materials? Super important. They’re what you need to upgrade your NFTs and make them stronger. The more you upgrade, the more powerful your deck gets.

GAME REVIEW

So what really grabbed our attention? The graphics. Right from the start, you’re hit with this moving background that sets the tone. And then, bam, straight into the tutorial. We appreciated that because the game has a lot going on, and it’s good to get the basics down from the get-go.

Although, if you’re someone who prefers figuring things out on your own, it might bug you that you can’t skip or fast-forward the tutorial. It’s not a dealbreaker, but for the impatient ones out there, it could be a minor annoyance.

As for the gameplay, it’s solid. It sticks to the tried-and-true RTS and tower defense mechanics but spices things up with card-based strategy. It’s like Clash Royale but with more layers to it. There’s a ton of cards to unlock—each with different characters and skills—which keeps things interesting. However, you’ll need to buy, trade, or synthesize cards to really power up your deck, which adds a nice challenge for strategy lovers.

One thing we really enjoyed was the events. There are daily check-ins and other in-game activities that keep you engaged. That said, after a while, the three game modes can feel a bit repetitive, especially with the same background settings. But overall, it’s still entertaining enough to keep us coming back.
